QUILT WALKABOUT
It may have been a grey, dreary cold day in Duluth but members of the Lake Superior Modern Quilt Guild grabbed their brightest quilts, bundled up, and gathered for a walkabout around Duluth's iconic Aerial Lift Bridge! Welcome everyone to May! That wonderful month where trees go from bare branches to that lovely shade of warm green which can be seen for only a few days each Spring. Where leaves burst from bud fists and open into waving leaf hands. The wonderful month of proms, graduations and grad parties. The month where gardens are planted with dreams of yummy vegetables to follow and perennials emerge from their winter sleep. The month where camping plans are made, the cabin cobwebs cleaned out, beaches prepared for summer fun, bike wheels begin to turn, evenings are warm enough for ice cream and a stroll on the Lakewalk. May, the month where we emerge from our long delayed Spring and say, 'Here comes the Sun!'
