QUILT WALKABOUT
It may have been a grey, dreary cold day in Duluth but members of the Lake Superior Modern Quilt Guild grabbed their brightest quilts, bundled up, and gathered for a walkabout around Duluth's iconic Aerial Lift Bridge! Check out the Duluth News Tribune article on the colorful walkabout: Duluth quilters strut stuff in Canal Park |
Happy November! Hope everyone enjoyed our first snowy day!?! We have a nice warm meeting planned for this coming Thursday, November 8th. Take a look below for what we'll be doing.
What's New with You? : There's always something new, isn't there? A new line of fabric you just found, a new tool that's making sewing sooooo much easier, a new way of using an old tool, an ah ha! moment that you just discovered? Alane will be starting off the 'What's New with You' segment by showing us some tools. Then it's your turn to share what's new with you! Fabric? A tool? A notion? A new way of doing something? We'll go around the room and hopefully everyone will have something to share. Just think of all the new tips you'll learn! Sew Evening: We have Harrison Community Center booked for Friday night sewing on November 9th. It's never too late to start your Christmas sewing! We'll update everyone on the start time on Thursday. Dues: Remember.......2019 dues are due by the Christmas meeting but we'd love to have them come in sooner than that. Here is the link to pay on line. If you want to pay them at the meeting, see Ruthann. Project Pouch: Remember to bring your pouches and toiletries. Our drawing for all those that have participated is during the December meeting. Show and Tell: Of course there is Show and Tell! Speaking of Show and Tell, have you stopped by Karen McTavish's Quilt Studio to see the fantastic quilts hanging? If you haven't you definitely want to make sure you get there this week. See you Thursday, November 8th at Harrison Community Center, 3002 W 3rd Street.
