As our Guild grows, we are finding we need more space. Be sure to check us out at our new location! 3002 W 3rd St in Duluth

Happy March! Can you believe it is March already?!? Can you believe Day Light Savings time begins on Sunday, March 11th! My how fast this winter is going!

Our first meeting reminder is about meeting location. Beginning with our March meeting, Thursday, March 8th, our new meeting home will be at Harrison Community Center, 3002 W 3rd Street. http://www.hrsncc.org/ Time is the same, 6:00 - 8:00. There is parking on the west side of the playground/park. You can also park in front of the building on both sides of the street. We'll have tables set up in a big U so that you can sit at a table and see all that is going on.

Teaching/Demo Moment
This month Ruthann will share her experience in using quilting rulers with her domestic machine. She will bring her rulers, ruler foot and machine so that during the meeting people can try out quilting with a quilting ruler. If you wish to 'give it a spin' please bring a quilt sandwich to practice with.

Guild News
We'll have an update on the Lynn Carson Harris workshop and a reminder of the Riley Blake Fabric challenge. For those who have fabric bundles to pick up, the bundles will be available for pick up at the meeting on Thursday. Any bundles not picked up by the end of the April meeting, will be used for future give guild give aways. If you know you can't make it to the March or April meeting to pick up your bundle, please have someone pick it up for you.

Project Pouch
For those of you who may have made pouches this month for Project Pouch, please bring your pouches to the meeting. We are going to be donating them to the shelter through out the year. Also, if you need a zipper to make a pouch between the March and April meeting, zippers will be available. Remember, this is a year long service project. For all those who made pouches or donated toiletries, at the end of the year, we'll have a drawing for a fabulous prize!

Show and Tell
Of course this is the highlight of the meeting. One great thing about meeting at Harrison is that after show and tell, we'll have room to spread out what was presented at show and tell so that you can see the loveliness up close and chat with the maker.

Snacks
We have no one signed up for snack for the meeting on Thursday. If you are inclined to bring a snack please email lakesuperiormqg@gmail.com to let us know.

Quilter of the Month
Joan Hunn is our quilter of the month for March. If you haven't seen the post you can access it here https://www.lakesuperiormqg.com/home/meet-a-member-joan We have no one signed up for April yet. We'd love to get to know each member individually so please consider signing up for a month. If you are not comfortable having your work published on the web site please don't let that deter you from signing up. Just let us know what you are comfortable with and we'll work with your preferences.

Can't wait to see everyone and all the beautiful things you have made~ Don't forget to bring your handmade name tag!
