QUILT WALKABOUT
It may have been a grey, dreary cold day in Duluth but members of the Lake Superior Modern Quilt Guild grabbed their brightest quilts, bundled up, and gathered for a walkabout around Duluth's iconic Aerial Lift Bridge! Check out the Duluth News Tribune article on the colorful walkabout: Duluth quilters strut stuff in Canal Park |
The last couple of days have been fun ones for our guild as our team-effort charity quilt has made its debut at QuiltCon in Pasadena. It’s receiving a lot of love on Instagram as various people share their photos of it!
This quilt is the brainchild of Alane Davis, Guild Vice President of Programs, pictured above with our quilt titled “Lake Superior Sunrise.” She designed the pattern and guided Guild members in its making. It features fabric by designer Alison Glass. Scott Lunt, member, did an amazing job quilting it. And be sure to check on the binding, done by Ruthann Grace, Guild President. “Lake Superior Sunrise” is a true labor of love as many members had a part in its making! Interested in getting your hands on a copy of this amazing pattern? You can find it right HERE! A portion of each sale helps support the Lake Superior Modern Quilt Guild.
