QUILT WALKABOUT
It may have been a grey, dreary cold day in Duluth but members of the Lake Superior Modern Quilt Guild grabbed their brightest quilts, bundled up, and gathered for a walkabout around Duluth's iconic Aerial Lift Bridge! Check out the Duluth News Tribune article on the colorful walkabout: Duluth quilters strut stuff in Canal Park |
Are you ready for our annual picnic meeting? Thursday's meeting will be a relaxed meeting of sharing our creativity with each other and a picnic meal together.
We will also be playing Left, Right Center during the meeting. Those who wish to participate should bring a fat quarter as 'ante'. August Challenge: How is everyone's project coming along? Hopefully in it's final stages! Bring your mini creation and your photo so we can see your interpretation/inspiration! Everyone who brings a completed mini will receive a prize! Superior Sunrise Drawing: We will hold the drawing to reveal who will win the 2017 Quitlcon Quilt designed by Alane Davis, Superior Sunrise. We MUST have everyone's tickets and money in hand in the August meeting. Even if you didn't sell all the tickets you took, you MUST return them. This is a legal requirement by the State of holding a raffle. We'll also share with the guild how much was brought in by the raffle and the amount that will be donated to SafeHaven. Regular Show and Tell: Of course there will be regular show and tell too! Bring your creations to share....WIPs, completed projects, etc...... See you Thursday, August 9th from 6:00-8:00 at Harrison Community Center, 3002 West 3rd Street, and.....don't forget the Lincoln Park Farmer's Market will be in front of the center. Come early and peruse some fabulous home grown goodies!

It was a good thing that the meeting was held in Harrison Picnic Center. On the other hand, I just want to say that a lot of things happened in august and I couldn't be happier for that. At least, you came up with fresh activities that were never seen by the public. By the way, can you post some of the details you had in the meeting? Of course we also want to know how was it and what are the things that were discussed so that we would also know what to do; to know if there's something we can help or none!
